Old Sleningford Hall : Sixty Years Remembered
This book is part of a private collection of recollections of life on a country estate. The Ramsden family moved in to Old Sleningford Hall in 1954 and many of the people who lived and worked there have contributed their stories to this collection.
The Western Isles
This is about as far west as you can get in Scotland and still be on an inhabited island.
Traditional beliefs are strong, and tales are told of crofts, fishing, and roaming bare-foot as a child. These voices were recorded during a wonderful, but brief, visit to these islands in 2019.
